2015 saw the introduction of the new Suzuki Vitara, with a good combination of styling and versatility throughout. Before looking at adding some additional comfort and storage with the Suzuki Vitara Armster armrest, lets quickly examine the cabin space without this additional feature, and then determine what benefits would be gained from the armrest once installed onto the Vitara centre console.
Overall there are numerous adjustments for the driver’s seat and steering wheel, making the Vitara very comfortable to begin with. As for storage at the front there’s quite a generous amount, especially in the door pockets. The glove box is of average size, and there is a storage shelf in front of the gear lever which is ideal for your mobile right next to the USB socket.
As I have previously mentioned, the Vitara is already a comfortable drive, but enhancing this experience further is our mission here at Armster UK. Obviously the comfort factor plays a huge roll on how you feel during and after a journey and is something car manufacturers such as Suzuki always try to achieve, but they need to work to a budget for the particular build spec. The one interior accessory frequently left out to cut costs is the centre armrest, and this approach is not limited to Suzuki but probably every large scale car manufacturer around. If you have been used to a centre armrest in your previous vehicles and move to the Vitara without one, then you are almost guaranteed to notice immediately. Trying to lean on something no longer there will confirm this!
So what will be the main advantages of fitting an Armster armrest to a Suzuki Vitara? Well having something to lean on during your time behind the wheel is the first blessing of course. Secondly, as we know cabin storage is not really a problem, but it never hurts to have more. The Armster armrest will accommodate those smaller fiddly items you don’t wish to lose or have on display and need quick, convenient access to. It could be coins, a trolley token, a set of keys, or even a bag of jelly babies! In fact anything you would be scared of losing in those large door packets could be easily stowed away inside the Armster. If you opt for the Armster 2 then you’ll also have the extra option of the ‘Portable Pocket’ feature which allows you to carry belongings with you when leaving your Vitara.
Fitting a Vitara Armster armrest is very straight forward, and once you have everything at hand it shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes. Both the Armster 2 and Armster S secure to the centre console in the same simplistic way. After attaching the Vitara specific base adapter to the armrest body, offer the whole unit up to the centre console, mark and drill the four holes, then secure with the screws provided in the kit. If you wish to compare the different features of the Armster 2 and Armster S armrests, please take a look at our guide HERE.
